Fleurettos / Sheena, Kim & Eric's Birthday

Can't deny that one of the things that I was really taken aback by, would be how I'm really in love with these dresses that I've gotten from Fleurettos!

Well, I've never been a big fan of flora prints... At least for the past two years. Besides, who knew I would dress up this way? Totally unlike me, but I decided to give it a try.

AND I ACTUALLY LIKE IT.

The first dress I picked was Bed Of Roses

Apart from the cut-in sleeves, (which is my fav, because it shows off your shoulder blades - makes you look thinner) I'm surprised how good the quality of the dress was. Frankly, I wasn't really expecting much.

There are a billion over outfits in the world, but have any of you ever wondered what makes a good outfit to me, besides its design? The cutting. Sounds pretty cliche, but cuttings do actually matter a lot.

Certain dresses make you look taller, whereas others make you look petite. Some make you look slimmer, and some help you "put on some weight."

I wanted to alter the dresses initially, cos I felt like I was too short to fit into them... I didn't know what made me change my mind, but I guess it was a good decision. At least to me it was. Didn't wanna show off too much of my ginormous tree trunks anyway. Lol

Second piece I chose was Birds In A Garden Frock

This dress gives off a slightly more "mature" feeling compared to the first piece, with its tight-fit cutting, and polyester-cotton material. (Feels a bit like silk)
 .

Feels really classy to me.

I feel that both look pretty good without the need of any accessories, because of their designs, but you can top it off with a simple bangle or necklace! Simplicity is the best. :)

Celebrated one of my amazing managers, Sheena's (+ Kimberly) birthday last Sat evening.

Met Tyler, Joanna, Rid, JH and Symone to get her a gift before Tyler drove us all to The Sentosa's Garden Villa.

I swear we had the worst time of our lives trying to find our way there. Apparently we weren't certain of the exact location, and made a wasted trip all the way to the end of Tanjong Beach. Only after alighting, and walking for about 15 mins, we then realized we went to the wrong place. /Pulls hair/

It was fun, yet super exhausting!!! Filled with perspiration by the time we got back into the car.

Finally after going in circles for about 30-45mins, we arrived!

I think I can skip the explanation on why 3/4 of the place was filled with pink stuff... But if you still don't know why, it's because the theme's Barbie!

This little cup of goodness was so yummy.

With the Birthday girl!

Symone~ Doesn't she look so Korean? Couldn't stop telling her that, lol.

The cake's so pretty!!!

Sheena and Kimberly~

I don't know what makes me happier than watching people I love, happy. Bliss.

Ending this post with a picture I really don't remember taking thereafter, at Zouk for Eric's Birthday party. Hahaha.

Birthdays after birthdays!!!! So many of my friends' birthdays fall on this month, including my Mom. Gonna burn a hole in my pocket.

Alright bye guys!

Ashincans / Salon Vim

So excited to share what I've gotten from Ashincans this time!

I don't know if I've mentioned this to you guys before, but even after working with so many different blog shops over the years, AIC has still remained as one of my top favourite blog shops until today.

Besides having a wide range of styles that cater to different individuals, majority of the things they sell have always been affordable, and definitely worth the price.

If you haven't already realized how much I love muscle-tanks... You should realize it by now.

Was like "OMG, I HAVE TO GET AT LEAST ONE OF THESE TANKS," upon looking at all the apparels. -Bimbo moment-

Paired it up with a snapback, and wrapped a cardi around my waist for a laid back "summer look." Felt like I was all dressed up to longboard lol.

Next piece that caught my attention has to be this Wine Candy Crush cut out dress. I really love the cut outs on the sleeves. Guess that was why I chose it. Besides, I also came to a realization on how my wardrobe has such a minimal amount of red.

Hahaha red snapback, hair and dress. I think I overdid it a little, but whatever. How often do you see someone pair such a feminine dress with a snapback? :p

Just thought I could add some edge to it.

Anyway, it's selling like hotcakes, so grab it quickly!

Anyway, I've finally decided to be a little less lazy, and visit Salon Vim to get my hair treated. Lol, it has been shouting in my face "I'M DAMAGED" for quite awhile, but I just couldn't be bothered, and I left it unattended for the longest time.

Had a bunch of my hair chopped off some time ago and did the Keratin Treatment/Brazilian Blowout.

My hair was like a crazy lion's mane previously before I got the treatment. I'm not even kidding. And it can get really annoying, because I've to straighten my hair every day otherwise it'd look really messy. Some suggested that I should get my hair rebonded, but I didn't exactly want like straight-straight hair.

Besides, nothing annoys me more than having to sit in a fixed position that's totally out of my comfort zone, for hours.

I got really troubled for awhile. For a moment, I thought my only option left was to cut my hair short, which is as good as taking my life away. Kidding.

So there was one time where I sat in at Salon Vim several weeks ago, and I shared my concern with my hairstylist, Jaime. Guess what? She told me there was actually an alternative!!! I was really taken aback, and excited!

Was so desperate to have all those frizz smoothened out, and my hair strengthened - Which are exactly what the Keratin treatment does. Yay!!!

And I'm so glad it worked way better than I expected. I was actually pretty worried it wouldn't have much of an impact, like the other treatments I've done previously. (If you've never bleached your hair before, a piece of advice... DON'T.)

BUT IT DID, and the whole process only took up to 30-45mins of my time!! The thing that surprised me most was that it didn't require any heat, and it was done after the treatment lotion was applied. I didn't even have to rinse it! Lol.

If you face similar problems, you should totally go for this! It costs about SGD250-350 and lasts for about 3 months.

After the treatment, I also decided to change my hair colour again. I didn't really like how the ash brown was fading into this gold-ish blonde.

Had a tough time deciding if I should go back to red or a dark colour. SO, I ended up with both!

After examining the condition of my hair, Jamie said that my hair colour was already light enough. So I didn't have to bleach it again. -Phew-

Leaving the bottom part of my hair the same colour as before (dark brown), I dyed the middle part Magenta red, and the top part in this natural brown colour.

So excited and nervous!!!

I guess it turned out just the way I wanted it to!

Couldn't describe that feeling I get every time I get the perfect colour I want. Jaime really knows what's best for me, and tries her best to help me achieve what I request for.

So glad!

Mundane weekends.

Yep, that was what I had for breakfast this morning. It wasn't exactly what I would call a perfect, sumptuous meal to kick start the morning... But it was good enough to satisfy those easily-contented tastebuds of mine.

Got a ride from my dad this morning to Botanic Gardens. Felt genuinely diligent for once, because I got up at 7am on a day which I've no school to attend to.

I used to sleep my ass off till 3/4 in the afternoon. (Which is what people like my parents would call late. I mean that's probably cause they've yet to see my friends who are able to sleep up to 24hours. That's just way beyond insanity.)

It was only after I started to form a habit of waking up before 12 everyday, I started to feel like I was leading a much healthier lifestyle. Of course, this alone wouldn't be enough to help develop a healthy lifestyle, but it sure does make one's day a lot more meaningful and productive.

No doubt that there are still those rare occasions (which I'd name "off days") where I'll wake up slightly later, but I'm glad that my sleeping habits aren't that screwed up anymore.

Haha, I think I elaborated a little too much, now I'm losing my chain of thought on what I wanted to say just now. Moving on.

Met two of my awesome classmates, Lucas and Van to visit Bukit Brown's Cemetery for a photography session on our upcoming project.

It was really creepy, but I was so stoked! I mean, how often would you have the guts to do something this outrageous?

It was all good, until... We lost our way, and there was a sudden downpour in the aftermath of it. Well, the weather decided that losing our way in a Cemetery wasn't pathetic enough.

Finally got everything we wanted and finished studying after 6 good hours. -Faints in the most dramatic way I could ever imagine-

Here's my expressionless face after studying for the entire weekend.

Sigh, I honestly feel a little upset about losing my "life" after school started. Yea, I'm out everyday, but it's to study most of the time. Even on my weekends, I'll either use them to finish up my personal work or stay home to rest.

And above all these, I've so many other problems to deal with. Then there are people who make their problems my problem. Frankly, I'm really happy when people are willing to share their problems with me. It makes me feel important. Important enough to hold their secrets, and to be a part of their lives.

It's just that I feel really incapable of dealing with my own recently.

Besides, what's worse than trying so hard only to have someone telling you, you're not good enough?

As much as I'd like to share more "exciting stuff" with you guys, besides all these stodgy rants, I really have nothing much to share.

Even shopping has to be online now. -Sobs- Oh well, on a brighter note... I've gotten quite a numb of stuff lately. Enough to do a new haul video pretty soon! (I'm also planning on a mega giveaway.) Stay tuned!!!

Just some pictures taken last Sat during dinner with Trix and Les, in between our study session.

Finally managed to dine at Nine Thirty by Awfully Chocolate. Was greeted with a row of really appealing chocolate pastries at the entrance.

Settled in as quickly as we sat down to order our food as we were all really hungry!!!

Couldn't help but to pick this dish from the menu when I saw "Poached egg" written under its name "Ninethirty's corned beef benedict."

I've so much love for eggs. That's another reason why I'm really thrilled whenever a restaurant serves breakfast all day.

The irresistible sight of the corned beef, and sweet dough bun is undeniably as tasty as it looks.

Couldn't remember what were the names and prices of what my other two friends had, but mine was SGD16. Guessing theirs were around the same as well.

And they loved their meal too!

It was pretty filling, and I would've definitely ordered my fav Crème brûlée if I didn't feel so stuffed. It was a pretty decent meal, nothing too fantastic, but I'd say it's worth the price!
