Spoilt for choice!

I can never go out without a big bag filled with truck loads of things, mostly makeup products, like my lip sticks, eyeliners, power etc; and because of that, I always lose them - Not to mention it usually takes me days before I realise they are missing since there are so many in my bag.

Having said that, I was elated to know that INGLOT has come to town and their new Freedom System is the bomb! Have always been hearing good things about this highly raved brand and finally being able to try them out was the best thing that could ever happen. Dropped by one of their outlets at Wisma Atria the other day and I was taken aback when I noticed the crazy variety of make up and the shades and colours available. Most make up brands that I tried out previously do not offer half as much choices as they do, which became a huge problem because I had such a hard time making up my mind on what colours to pick from over 200 shades that come in different finishes, matte, pearl, shimmer etc. (Very pigmented and vibrant btw.)

The following pictures would totally justify everything I've just said.

After spending more than an hour at INGLOT (oops), I picked up quite a number of stuff and I must say that my favourite was the Freedom System palette. Basically, the Freedom System Palettes come in a range of sizes and for a range of products. It comes with a magnetic layer on the bottom of the palette holds pans in place, but also allows you to rearrange and exchange each item for convenience and easy product replenishment. The unique Freedom System allows you to mix and match products and colors to make your own custom designed palette of almost any size. Not to mention, all INGLOT Freedom System products come in eco-friendly reusable palettes.

Not too sure if they are the first to come up with this idea, but whoever did is INGENIOUS. Just imagine how much more convenient it is to bring a palette consisting of all your makeup necessities compared to bringing perhaps 5 or more individual product. Besides, it's so much lighter, handier and organised; Don't wanna ditch a new handbag when you find out your lipstick cap was left opened y'knw? Another reason to love this system is how you're allowed to put all your favourite colours into one palette. If you were to buy the pre-customised ones, there's always bound to be that one or two colours you hardly touch, and c'mon why would anyone wanna spend over $50 just for those few colours right? lol.

And for makeup fanatics, INGLOT also brings in high quality brushes for different purposes. :D

Lastly, if you're not too keen in getting the palettes and would rather buy each item separately, they are available as well.

I've yet to give them all a try, but I guess the one that I'm looking forward to trying is their AMC Lipgloss which states to have a soft and re-hydrating formula to ensure smooth and even application. Mixtures of liquid crystals react to skin colour or lip colour underneath creating a stunning 3D effect. The 3D effect is captivates my attention the most. :p

I guess if there's one feeling in this world I enjoy the most, it's the overwhelming amount of happiness that rushes through my veins whenever I get to meet my readers (or supporters) and have the ability to make them happy in ways I can never imagine, with their eyes smiling from their cheeks. Thanks to the Sunsilk Hair Hunt last weekend, I got to meet and interact with a handful of you.

It's funny how up till this day, it still puzzles me why people would read my blog, follow me and even care about my existence. I remember the very first time I was approached for a photo in late 2011, and back then, I was like "You want a photo with who? ME?!" Of course, I don't respond in such a creepy manner anymore but I still feel unworthy. I'm human, you guys are as well, that makes us equal right? :p

Summary of what the Sunsilk Hair Hunt party was about - Basically I was hidden in a part of Mandarin Gallery and along with some clues I provided, my followers had to guess my exact location. Eventually, the first person who found me won a pair of tickets to Hong Kong! Felt really guilty about the rest who participated, but at least they were compensated with a huge bag of Sunsilk goodies and had a free hair blowout from PREP Salon with Sunsilk products!

As you can see in the pictures below, I had lots of fun that day!

See that beautiful braid that the PREP stylist created for me? It looks ultra sleek because of the Sunsilk Nourishing Soft and Smooth Oil Spray that was applied earlier to smoothen out my hair.

It was an amazing year as a Sunsilk ambassador and this mini-party was a great way to ending this journey with a bang. Besides the awesome cupcakes and getting to meet y'all, I'm just grateful to be a part of Sunsilk! Thank you, Sunsilk for the opportunity to be your Ambassador. :)

Wearing Contact Lenses

Have you ever tried something and decided you’re never turning back? Well, I know I did. When I was 13 I started realising one of my friends had bigger and brighter eyes after our holidays. I got really curious and eventually, through a few friends I figured out how she worked that magic haha.

So apparently she was wearing coloured lenses and my friends even brought me to check them out after school. I personally don’t have a degree but after trying on those lenses I knew I would never live without them again.

I’m sure many of you wear contact lenses too. Personally, I find wearing lenses fun and versatile because I get to change the colour of my eyes as and when I want, also if you hardly wear any makeup, coloured lenses could help enhance your appearance without it and help build your confidence. But it’s always so uncomfortable to wear my lenses throughout the day. My eyes usually get dry and irritated so I'd usually have to take the conscientious effort to remind myself to bring eye drops everywhere I go because of that. It’s so much of a hassle and the eye drops sometimes ruin my mascara.

After facing this problem for years I finally went online the other day to research about it. I realised that the reason behind my dry eyes is because of the water content in my lenses and hygiene. The safety of your eyes is definitely not something you want to mess with. Contact lenses are relatively safe if you choose the right brand (especially those that are certified) and know how to cleanse them thoroughly after every usage.

Now that I’ve identified my problem, I looked for a solution and I found FreshKon® Colors Fusion 1-DAY lenses. I’m sure FreshKon is a brand many people think of when buying contact lenses and I was really pleased to find out they just launched a new line of 1 Day lenses. There were 3 colours for me to choose from and they were all so pretty but I decided to go for brilliant brown and blushing violet.

The blushing violet is a new vibrant shade. Its gorgeous, vivid hue illuminates and with a pair of alluring eyes, I feel so confident when having eye contact with others. I've been wearing the non-enlarging ones for about a year now, was switching between 14.2 and 14.5 MM in diameter previously. I try to keep my eyes looking natural with colours like black or brown most of the time. However, no harm stepping out of my comfort zone for something new right?
