SHINE 2013

Made my way to *SCAPE last Saturday evening to catch a spectacular series of events lined up by SHINE. As mentioned in my previous post, this year's theme is #FreeYourYou which is basically trying to convey the message to all youths to set themselves free and showcase their talents.

Some selfies before heading out, cos the lighting outside my house was doing my skin some justice :p

Was overwhelmed by the massive number of people present! I'm not even kidding when I say that I had to squeeze my way through the crowd. I mean just look at the following pics...

Was really amazed by the number of cosplayers who attended the COSMO youth parade at the SHINE Youth Festival. Really spontaneous and full of zeal! I probably wouldn't have that enthusiasm to dress up like how they did even if I was paid a crazy amount of cash.

Hence, I really admire their courage!

Some of the anime-drawing done by the youths.

And there's us, posing for a picture hehe.

The Huckleberry Friend then came on stage to perform a few tunes!

Followed by another young talented local artist.

And finally, my fav act of the evening! The Sam Willows!

Rocking the stage once again with their melodic voices.

Anyway if you've missed out this event, don't worry bcos there are way more lined up just for you from now till the 28th of July!

AMPed 3.0

Are you guys a sucker for music, just like me??? If you are, then I'm guessing you'd love this post!

If you've ever used my phone before, you should know that most of my apps are either music/photography apps. I've no games in there. Not even kidding. Lol, reminds me how my little cousins always think that I'm lying to them when they wanna use my phone to play games.

I've tried out several music apps previously and I've only gotten them bcos I jailbroke my phone. And otherwise, you'd have to pay for them too. Which sucks???

Firstly, a lot of my apps need to be updated, and I've to now pay for them or else they won't be able to function. So I've given up trying to hunt for new ones, even though I really hate the extra steps I've to take to download and transfer songs from my computer.

And as usual, laziness at its best; I couldn't even be bothered to update my phone's music for a period of time.

BUT I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT MUSICCCC, IT'S MA LIFEEEEE.

SO WHO KNEW?! SOME GENIUS ACTUALLY CREATED AMPed?!

Basically it's a free app which allows you to search, listen and download your fav songs in just a few seconds!!! Free streaming for everyone, not only exclusive to Singtel users! So all of you can just search for AMPed on iOS store or Google play!

Playing around with it. Can easily use it anywhere and everywhere.

It's actually really easy to use and it doesn't lag at all. (Which is what I really detest while browsing music apps)

There's unlimited access to more millions of songs streaming, unlimited playlist creation, unlimited public playlist subscription, priority for exclusive showcases for like artistes/celebrities. (e.g. Lawson, Lady Gaga etc). HAHA everything is like unlimited and awesome!!!

So thankful for this app. :)

The sign up is also extremely easy – just sign up with your email address or you can link it to your Facebook account!

There’s like a $0.10 trial which I’m thinking of trying actually, it’s 30 days with full access! Which means I can download any song I want because there’s unlimited downloads and no ads to irritate me  hehe. Plus the data charges are waived when I used the app (save me even more)!

Review

Guess there isn't a need for an introduction bcos I believe you all are familiar with UCS by now!

Just in case you missed out my first review, you can check it out (here)

I was initially kinda afraid I might have problems pulling off these two outfits that I've chose, but guess what... I decided to go all retro this time! HEHE.

So I paired my first top with a high-waisted denim shorts and accessorised my hair with a usamini headband! Good stuff can never can get outdated.

It's pretty edgy, yet the headband softens the whole look.

Followed by something more feminine, which is my polkadot dress.

Didn't have to wear any belts bcos the waist area's stretchable, but you can still wear a brown/black belt if you wanna add a little more spice to it.

Really love how these two looks turned out to be! Might consider doing a make up + hair tutorial for this!!

Anyway, as mentioned previously, UCS sells both male and female apparels! Kudos to that.
